Residents are warned that an unauthorised person is attempting to collect rate payments on behalf of Council.
A male approximately 60 years of age has been door knocking residents stating that he is from Council and is collecting rate payments.
This person is not a representative of council and rate payments are not collected in this manner.
Anyone who is approached by this individual or anyone else stating that they are collecting rates should call the Shepparton Police station on 5820 5777.
