Greater Shepparton City Council is pleased to advise that the existing public toilet at Riverbank Gardens, Murchison will be renewed under the Public Toilet Replacement Program.
In Summary
The upgraded amenities will include four toilet cubicles comprising of three unisex and one accessible cubicle to improve accessibility and ensure compliance with current standards. This modernised facility will provide a more inclusive, comfortable, and user‑friendly experience for all visitors.
Demolition of the existing public toilet is scheduled to commence tomorrow, Thursday 19 February 2026, weather permitting. Construction of the new facility will commence shortly after demolition has been completed.
During these works, portable toilets will be available for use in close proximity to the existing facility and the public car park will remain open. The replacement works are anticipated to take approximately seven weeks, weather permitting.
Community members are urged to follow all on-site signage. Temporary fencing will be in place, and the community is asked to take care around the construction area.
Council appreciates the community’s patience while the works are underway and looks forward to delivering improved public toilet facilities for Murchison and its visitors.
