KidsFest, the two day children’s festival held at SPC Ardmona KidsTown over last weekend has started the September school holidays off with a bang.
Visitors came from all over the state to visit KidsTown’s biggest event of the year with estimated numbers of around 17,000 people over the weekend.
With some wonderful performances on the Shepparton Show Me Main Stage with Dirt Girl, Dr Seuss - Cat in the Hat, How to Train your Dragon 2, Mr Peabody & Sherman and Humphrey B. Bear.
KidsTown Duty Supervisor Tracey Toy said KidsFest has now completed its ninth year and thanks to a fantastic team of staff and volunteers at KidsTown, KidsFest was again a massive success.
“We have had many emails from stall providers, visitors and even had an email from Humphrey B. Bear’s manager saying KidsFest was the best event ever!” said Ms Toy.
“Throughout the year we perform at many events such as KidsFest and I have to say that Kidsfest is a very well organised event and extremely well run. KidsFest is a first class event and is a credit to you, your staff and the Greater City of Shepparton,” said Humphrey’s Manager John Gibbard. “My staff, myself and of course Humphrey enjoyed the two very days in sunny Shepparton.”
Ms Toy said “loads of customers were praising the staff and volunteers on their efforts as the festival was very smoothly run. The crowds were very well behaved in all areas of the festival as the weekend had beautiful weather.”
“We also have one last KidsFest 2014 competition that started over the weekend and we encourage all to enter; it’s the KidsFest 2014 – Photo Comp at http://woobox.com/timub9
“We want people to upload photos of families and children enjoying themselves at KidsFest or any of the KidsFest umbrella events over the school holidays,” said Ms Toy.
