The Garage Sale Trail has landed in Shepparton, with more than 25 individual sales registered for the weekend event.
Garage Sale Trail organises communities to host garage sales, nationwide once a year on the same day. The sale encourages sustainability, by not throwing items to landfill, community connection and making money.
Greater Shepparton Mayor Jenny Houlihan encouraged people to get involved.
"Whether you choose to host a garage sale or you make a day of it and visit the sales, everyone is doing their bit to help our environment and connect with new people," Cr Houlihan said.
"There is still time to register your sale, simply visit www.garagesaletrail.com.au to sign up."
This national community event is now in its third year, has attracted the support of over 110 local councils across the country to encourage Australians everywhere to come together on the same day to reduce waste and reuse pre-loved items in a fun and creative way.
