Melbourne AFL player and local identity Shannon Byrnes will be running a fitness session and talk with the Aquamoves Seven Week Challenge group on Friday 21 February from 6.00-7.30pm.
The Seven Week Challenge provides individualised nutrition plans catering for men and women, two weekly fitness sessions with experienced and qualified personal trainers, health coaching sessions and nutrition advice from an expert nutritionist, and Super classes with elite sportspeople.
Shannon played all of his junior football in Shepparton and followed a traditional pathway into the AFL. He was drafted to the Geelong Cats at the end of the 2002 season as their third selection in the AFL rookie draft. Over the following 10 seasons Shannon played 108 games for the Cats including premierships in 2007 and 2009. He also played in two preseason premierships with the Cats and played in the VFL premiership in 2012. Shannon moved to the Melbourne FC at the end of the 2012 season and was immediately drafted into the leadership group at the Demons. He played a further 17 games last season giving him 125 games and 112 goals to this point in his career.
The Seven Week Challenge also provides participants with a full centre membership to allow them the opportunity of having a fitness assessment and personalised program to help them find a fitness regime that they will enjoy and therefore maintain. For further information please contact Aquamoves 5832 9400.
