Are you building, about to build or want to improve your home to become more sustainable? Greater Shepparton City Council is hosting free Smarter Living Workshops with experts covering a variety of topics.
Workshops will have experts on:
Sustainable building design – Henning Rasmussen from Energy Smart Design
Sustainable Garden design – Louise Pelle from Design by Nature
Permaculture – David Arnold from Murrnong
Energy Efficiency at home – Ross Musolino from Transition Tatura
Greater Shepparton City Council Mayor Kim O’Keeffe said “this is a great opportunity for residents within Greater Shepparton to get tips and expert advice about building and designing homes so they are more sustainable and efficient for the future”.
“Council is hosting these four workshops free of charge, so this is a great opportunity to get on board and learn something new, you don’t have to have a new house to make some simple changes.
“If we make simple changes in design or use certain products to enable our homes to become more efficient this will not only save resident’s money, but it will be better for the environment,” said Ms O’Keeffe.
