Greater Shepparton City Council accepted the tender submitted by Jarvis Delahey Contractors for construction of the Kialla Park Recreation Reserve Main Oval Redevelopment at the April Ordinary Council Meeting.
Jarvis Delahey Contractors is a local contractor and has a strong track record in performing similar works for Council.
The works will see the removal of the existing turf surface, existing goalposts, the existing irrigations system and the existing fencing.
A new growing medium, irrigation system, oval fence, goalposts and stormwater drainage will all be installed under the contract.
Council Mayor, Cr Kim O’Keeffe, said she was pleased to be able to accept the tender from Jarvis Delahey Contractors.
“Jarvis Delahey Contractors are a local company, and it is nice to know the money will be staying in our region,” she said.
“We are always on a mission to keep our sporting and leisure facilities at a high standard.
“These works will ensure Kialla Park Recreation Reserve is a safe and suitable place for any sporting groups or local residents who wish to use it.”
