Greater Shepparton City Council wishes to advise of upcoming construction works at the High Street exit of the Maude Street Precinct in Shepparton.
In Summary
The works involve the demolition and construction of a new exit onto High Street. Construction will involve concreting a new ramp on a grade that will enable vehicles to have a smoother transition onto High Street.
As a result, Maude Street between Fryers Street and High Street will be closed from 7am on Monday 23 June until 7am on Monday 30 June. Pedestrian access to the Maude Street Precinct will remain at all times.
To complete these works in a safe manner, a lane closure on High Street is required for two days.
The eastbound lane of High Street in Shepparton, between Wyndham Street and Maude Street, will be reduced to one lane on Monday 23 and Tuesday 24 June, between 9am and 3pm.
The footpath along High Street will remain open and pedestrian access to businesses within the Maude Street Precinct will be maintained.
Motorists and pedestrians are asked to obey all worksite and advisory signage, including traffic controllers, and are encouraged to use alternate routes where possible.
Council apologises for any inconvenience these works may cause and appreciates the community’s patience and co-operation during these works.
A photo of the current High Street exit and a map of the works area can be viewed on the right.
