Greater Shepparton City Council’s disaster recovery team, Resilience in Recovery, is pleased to invite the public to ‘Undera the Stars’ on Saturday 11 May 2024.
Summary
From 6.00pm to 10.00pm, residents are encouraged to visit the Undera Recreation Reserve where they can enjoy a night under the stars with plenty of entertainment. There will be lights, food trucks, live music and family-friendly fun with something on offer for all ages.
The event will feature a fantastic line-up of talented local artists, including KB and Kitto, Madi Colville-Walker, The Wildings and Wildwood.
Attendees are encouraged to bring something to sit on, a picnic rug, cushion, blanket, or chair, to ensure they are comfortable ahead of a beautiful night under the stars.
This is a free event, however there will be some food options on-site which will require payment. It is advised to bring along a small amount of cash for smaller items that may be a gold coin only.
Greater Shepparton City Council Mayor, Councillor Shane Sali, said Council were looking forward to another community event aimed at bring people together and creating connections.
“It is great to see these free events popping up regularly in our calendar” he said.
“This is a fantastic opportunity to join together and share a night with terrific entertainment on offer. The evening aims to strengthen community bonds and build a sense of belonging among Greater Shepparton residents.”
Greater Shepparton City Councils Manager of Flood Recovery, Carla Dixon, said the community came together to think of the idea.
“The community of Undera came together and created the idea of this event, which was pleasing to see. As it is a disaster recovery event, it was able to be funded by State Government’s Community Recovery Hubs program fund” she said.
