Greater Shepparton City Council is inviting budding photographers to submit their favourite photos of the region to celebrate “Where I live” and the Many Great Things of our region.
Open to all ages and photography abilities, residents are to capture the spirit of Greater Shepparton, this can include landscape, flora and fauna, native animals, streetscape, local attractions and all things unique to our region.
Entries for the Where I live photo competition will be open from Monday 18 January and close Sunday 7 February.
The finalist photos will be displayed on canvas prints at the Greater Shepparton Visitor Centre’s new home by Victoria Park Lake, with the winner taking home a grand prize of a Greater Shepparton Gift Hamper filled with local products and merchandise.
Greater Shepparton City Council Mayor Councillor Kim O’Keeffe said our region had so much to offer and photography is a great way to capture and share the people, places and environment that make our region great.
“We’re encouraging our residents to get out and safely explore all the region has to offer and share the beautiful scenery and stories through photography,” Cr O’Keeffe said.
“There’s so much to celebrate in our region and we want to know from the community what they love about living here, whether it’s going for walks around the lake, having fresh produce in our back yard, or inspiring street art, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.”
To enter, post your photo to the Visit Shepparton Facebook page or email your images to info@visitshepparton.com.au with your contact details. Full terms and conditions can be found at www.visitshepparton.com.au/where-i-live
