Greater Shepparton City Council, supported by the Greater Shepparton Business Network (GSBN), invites local businesses to register their interest now for the upcoming Greater Shepparton Business Festival, running from Monday 4 August to Thursday 21 August 2025.
In Summary
Following the success of last year’s Business Big Ideas Festival, the event has been rebranded to better reflect our region and broaden its reach across Greater Shepparton’s diverse business community. The 2025 festival will feature over 13 free events, covering a wide range of topics including leadership, AI, finance, branding, marketing and more.
Designed to help local businesses learn, connect and grow, the festival will empower business owners, entrepreneurs, and professionals with practical tools, expert insights and valuable networking opportunities.
Greater Shepparton City Council Mayor, Councillor Shane Sali, encouraged local businesses and those looking to develop new skills to register their interest.
“We are always exploring ways to support local businesses. This year’s festival program covers so many aspects of business, whether you are after tips on finance, looking to improve efficiencies, or completely new to business in Australia, it caters to every stage of the journey,” he said.
Council’s Economic Development Engagement Coordinator, Karen Mellington, said the program was developed to respond to the needs of the local business community.
“This year’s program brings together topics that are relevant in today’s business world and will equip businesses with real skills and tools people can apply straight away,” she said.
“Every session has been shaped to meet the needs of our local business community, and the format allows people to attend in ways that work for them, with a mix of morning and evening sessions, local venues, and all at no cost.”
Stephen Schneider, President of the Greater Shepparton Business Network (GSBN), said the festival is a valuable opportunity for businesses to come together and learn new skills.
“We are proud to support Council in delivering a festival that reflects the real needs and ambitions of our business community. It’s a chance for business owners, entrepreneurs, professionals and anyone keen to build skills, grow their network or explore fresh ideas to come together,” he said.
“This year’s program encourages creativity and innovation, and creates space for all businesses to learn, connect and grow.”
The full program will be delivered in collaboration with GSBN and a range of industry partners and facilitators, with sessions held in multiple venues across Greater Shepparton.
A launch event hosted by the Greater Shepparton Business Network will be held from 5.30pm on Monday 7 July at the Aussie Hotel in Shepparton. Attendees will be amongst the first to hear about this year’s program. Registrations to attend the launch are essential and limited to 2 tickets per business.
The full program will be released on Tuesday 8 July. To register your interest to attend and to receive the program direct to your inbox, subscribe to the Greater Shepparton Business Festival email list here.
