Nominations for the Greater Shepparton Cultural Heritage Awards 2021 are only open until 22 February 2021. This is an exciting opportunity for outstanding contributions to cultural heritage conservation, research, education, promotion, interpretation, training and awareness-raising across the municipality to be recognised.
You may nominate your own cultural heritage contribution or the contribution of an individual, group or organisation. This might including a building, book or event, but is not limited to these contributions.
Categories include reuse of a heritage place, restoration of a heritage place, and maintenance of a heritage place, as well as student/youth, interpretive signage, substantial research publication, smaller publication (booklet, software application, etc.), and community, multicultural or indigenous event or tourism contribution. There is also a category for those nominations that do not fit within the above options.
Nominated work must relate to the five years prior to the closing date on Monday, 22 February 2021. Entries can be nominated in more than one category, with a separate nomination form for each category.
The 2021 awards ceremony to be held on 1 May 2021 will coincide with the Australian Heritage Festival, and will be presented by Greater Shepparton City Council, in association with the Greater Shepparton Heritage Advisory Committee.
For more information on the Cultural Heritage Awards 2021, a full list of previous winners or to access nomination forms and guidelines, please visit the Cultural Heritage Awards page on our website. Information brochures will be available at libraries and some other community venues.
