A milestone was reached today on the Shepparton Art Museum project with the concrete slab for the loading dock and ground slab to the art hill being poured.
The pour included more than 300 cubic metres of concrete and 60 tonne of steel with the concrete being delivered at the rate of 70 cubic metres an hour.
Kane Constructions Project Manager Brandon Finucane said despite the cold and windy conditions the work was progressing to schedule.
“We have 50 skilled construction workers on site today including local contractors Kane Constructions has employed for the project.”
"Kane Constructions has installed two community noticeboards to keep the community informed on construction progress and activity."
Visit Council's project page for more photos and a video, or follow the progress on Instagram or Facebook. You can also subscribe to our New SAM e-newsletter to keep up to date on the progress.
