First developed in 2014, the draft plan is now in its third review. Developed in consultation with the RiverConnect Land Management Working Group, the document focuses on protecting the Reserve’s plants, animals and cultural values, while ensuring people continue to have an opportunity to enjoy the space safely and into the future.
Council’s Manager Environment Sharon Terry encouraged neighbouring residents and Reserve users to have their say to help shape the plan.
“The Boulevard Bush Reserve is a valued local natural asset and understanding how people connect with and use the reserve is important to how it is managed,” she said.
“By completing a short online or hardcopy survey, your input will help ensure the plan reflects what matters to the community.”
Ms Terry said community feedback would play a key role in identifying priorities and potential improvements.
“Your feedback can help us understand what’s working well, what could be improved and any issues we should know about,” she said.
The Boulevard Bush Reserve provides important biodiversity, recreational and environmental values for the Greater Shepparton community, and Council is committed to ensuring it remains safe, accessible and resilient for future generations.
Consultation on the draft Boulevard Bush Reserve Environmental Management Plan is open from 17 July to 5 August 2026.
Community members are encouraged to:
- Complete a short online survey
- Visit Council offices at 90 Welsford Street, Shepparton to complete a hardcopy survey.
