Greater Shepparton residents can look forward to the official opening of the rural outdoor pools in Mooroopna, Merrigum and Tatura this Saturday 2 December 2023.
Council’s Coordinator Rural Outdoor Pools, Molly Kennedy, says the opening of the rural aquatic facilities is a summer highlight for local community members.
“The rural pools hold a special place in the hearts of our community. These facilities are the backdrop for countless memories, where families and friends gather to enjoy the Australian summer for a tradition that forms part of who we are."
“I encourage people in our rural towns, as well as those in Shepparton, to visit the pools and enjoy everything they offer. Whether you're a keen swimmer or looking for family-friendly fun, these facilities provide a safe and relaxed experience for everyone", Ms Kennedy said.
Returning this year is the Greater Shepparton Summer Family Pool Membership, providing local families with five months of unlimited access to all three rural pools, as well as the Aquamoves’ indoor and outdoor pools and the Splash Parks located at Aquamoves and the Merrigum pool. Priced at $295, the membership accommodates five individuals (maximum of two adults), with the option to include more members at additional upgrade costs. Terms and conditions apply.
The rural outdoor pools will be accessible to the community on a daily basis until Monday 11 March 2024, ensuring plenty of opportunity for locals and visitors to make a splash and create lasting summer memories.
