CEO Fiona Le Gassick said there were many moments which shaped the past 12 months in Greater Shepparton, acknowledging the work of the organisation to remain cohesive and support the wider community throughout this time.
“It is important to acknowledge that many of the achievements celebrated in the 2023/2024 Annual Report have occurred in partnership with our community. Whether it has been activities delivered via the Resilience in Recovery Program, delivery of cultural and sporting events, development of the Positive Ageing Strategy or community planting as part of National Tree Day,” she said
“Importantly, during the past 12 months we continued to stand up for the current and future needs of our region, advocating at state and federal levels for increased social and affordable housing, as well as greater water security to support our continued prosperity.
“I am extremely pleased of our very capable and passionate staff for adapting seamlessly to the ever changing needs of our community, navigating a range of complexities, and continuing to uphold a high standard of service delivery,” she said.
