Greater Shepparton City Council invites individuals, local businesses, sports clubs, and community organisations to submit an expression of interest to host or include an activity as part of the Greater Shepparton Youth Fest 2024 program.
In Summary
Formerly known as Victorian Youth Week, Youth Fest has expanded into a month-long celebration of youth-focused and youth-led events. The festival aims to promote the mental and physical wellbeing of our youth, foster social connectedness and community participation, and offer accessible, low-cost or free events that cater to diverse interests.
This year's theme in Greater Shepparton is "Something for Everyone", which underscores Council’s commitment to inclusivity and diversity. Greater Shepparton Youth Fest 2024 will feature a range of activities across Greater Shepparton for the community to participate and engage in.
Mayor, Councillor Shane Sali, encouraged passionate individuals, local businesses, sports clubs, and community organisations keen on promoting community health and activity to submit their expressions of interest to add their event to the Youth Fest 2024 program.
"If you are interested in being part of this initiative, I encourage you to submit your expression of interest. Youth are our future, and this is an excellent opportunity for our community to support and empower them,” he said.
Supported by partners including Greater Shepparton Youth Organisations Network, GV Libraries, and other community groups, and funded by the Victorian State Government, Youth Fest will run from 1 September to 30 September 2024.
To express interest, please click here and complete the form.
The deadline for submissions is Monday 29 July 2024 at 9am.
