Greater Shepparton City Council, through its destination brand Shepparton & Goulburn Valley, is encouraging locals and visitors to connect and enjoy the region in its latest activation ‘Home for the Holidays’.
From Saturday 16 to Sunday 30 September, locals, friends and relatives, are invited to experience some of the home grown activities available in Shepparton and the Goulburn Valley and enjoy special events and happenings at local venues.
The ‘Home for the Holidays’ activation is the perfect opportunity for businesses to promote themselves and connect with visitors and community members, by showcasing their products and services through this campaign.
Mayor, Councillor Shane Sali, said Council was looking forward to seeing people get behind the activation and experience the best things Greater Shepparton has to offer.
“We invite local residents staying ‘Home for the Holidays’ to have family and friends over, and share the wonderful experiences available in the region,” he said.
“You don’t have to travel far to find great food and drinks, and enjoy family activities. These type of activations are a great opportunity to encourage people to consume local, activate the economy and discover new things to do in their own community.”
Council encourages residents staying home for the school holidays to invite friends and relatives to visit and explore Shepparton and Goulburn Valley.
More information regarding participating venues and what is happening will be coming soon via the Shepparton & Goulburn Valley social media channels and website.
For businesses that would like to participate in this activation, please go to the Shepparton & Goulburn Valley website and submit an expression of interest by filling in the available form.
