Greater Shepparton City Council are encouraging residents to have their say on the draft Council Plan to help shape the future of the region.
The draft Council Plan was prepared following the adoption of a new Community Vision in June this year, with the Council Plan outlining how the organisation will work towards achieving this vision over the next four years. Before the plan is presented for adoption, Council are asking for the community’s assistance to review the draft document and share their thoughts.
“Council really want to know what the community think of this draft Council Plan so I encourage everyone to take a look at it and have their say,” Mayor, Cr Kim O’Keeffe said.
“The community were fantastic in sharing their thoughts to help shape the Community Vision and now this new document will outline how we will work to achieve this in the coming years.”
Community feedback is open until 11pm on Sunday, 3 October 2021. Once submissions close, the feedback and comments will be collected and used to help put the finishing touches on the Council Plan.
The final Council Plan will then be adopted by Council in an October Council Meeting.
“This is a final opportunity to review and provide feedback on the Council Plan, which has been drafted following extensive community input gained over the past nine months,” Cr O’Keeffe said.
“Council value the community’s thoughts and ideas and would love to hear from as many residents as possible.”
To provide feedback on the draft Council Plan, head over to the Shaping Greater Shepparton website.
If you require assistance to complete your submission, please contact Council at council@shepparton.vic.gov.au or via (03) 5832 9700.
