The centrepiece of the program is Beethoven’s dramatic and turbulent early String Quartet in C minor Opus 18 No 4. From the timeless counterpoint of Bach Inventions to the virtuosity and rhythmic vitality of Bluegrass masters Edgar Meyer and Mark O’Connor, this concert is a celebration of the versatility and expressive capacity of string playing.
