What to expect on the day

The Early Years Recruitment Day is designed to make getting started with Council simple and approachable.

You won’t need to go through a traditional application process before attending. Instead, you’ll have the opportunity to take part in a relaxed, informal conversation with our team, including a short on-the-spot interview as part of the screening process.

There are no formal interviews or panels. The focus is on getting to know you, your experience and your interest in working in Early Years.

Do you need to prepare?

There’s no formal preparation required. You don’t need to study interview questions or bring anything extensive. Just come ready to talk about:

  • your experience (if any)
  • your qualifications or training
  • your interest in working in Early Years

Sessions are available from 2pm to 4pm. Register below to see the available timeslots.

Registration is required to attend this event. To keep the experience smooth and manageable, walk-ins will not be accepted. Make sure you register in advance and select an available session time.

What happens after the event

After attending, Council’s People and Development team will be in touch as part of the recruitment process.

You can expect an update on your application status within two weeks of the event.
