Benson will need a patient and understanding family who can continue building his confidence through positive reinforcement, socialisation, and gentle encouragement. He can be unsure around unfamiliar dogs, but he is friendly in nature and may enjoy canine companionship with slow, controlled introductions. 🐶💕
This clever boy is highly motivated by food and absolutely loves chasing balls, making both great tools for training and bonding. 🎾🍖 He is still gaining confidence on lead and will need encouragement and practice to help him feel comfortable exploring the world by your side. Benson is not suitable for a home with cats.

Adoption Commitment
The Shepparton Animal Shelter encourages new owners of adopted animals to consider their lifestyle and commitment carefully before adoption. We wish to see all adopted animals find their forever homes. However we understand that sometimes, an adoption does not work out. If you are no longer able to care for your adopted animal, for any reason, please contact the Shepparton Animal Shelter.
Adoption Guarantee
If a dog, puppy, cat or kitten is not acceptable to a purchaser because of health, physical or other reasons (excluding accidents), which is supported by a statement from a Veterinary practitioner, within seven days of purchase, the Animal Shelter will accept the animal back and refund the purchase price of the animal.
If a dog, puppy, cat or kitten is returned within three days for any other reason, the Animal Shelter will refund 75% of the purchase price or offer a replacement animal with the same guarantee.
If a dog, puppy, cat or kitten dies or is euthanased as a result of a disease that is traceable to the point of sale, the Animal Shelter will refund the purchase price or offer a replacement animal with the same guarantee.
