Adopt Skip D250117! A Smart and Playful 1-Year-Old Kelpie!

Meet Skip, a 1-year-old male Kelpie with a beautiful brown and tan coat and a heart full of energy! Skip is a smart and playful boy who loves toys, food, and of course, spending time with people. He already knows how to sit on command, so he’s ready to build on his skills with some basic training and positive reinforcement.

A sweet and resilient pup with a heart full of love and a unique little smile! Skip was born with an undershot jaw, which gives him an adorable, one of a kind look. Because his lower canine teeth are currently pressing into his soft palate, he's undergoing surgery to have them safely removed. Ensuring he's comfortable and pain-free for the rest of his life. Despite this challenge, Skip is full of life, affection, and ready to find a forever home where he can heal and thrive. He’s truly a special boy who can’t wait to share his love with someone just as special.

Skip is a friendly dog who gets along well with other dogs, and he would make a great companion in a multi-dog household. However, due to his high energy and tendency to jump when excited, he may not be the best fit for a home with small children. He would likely do better with older children who can handle his playful nature, or possibly even in a home with cats, given proper supervision and introductions.

As a Kelpie, Skip is an intelligent dog who will thrive with plenty of mental and physical stimulation. He’ll need consistent training to work on his jumping and leash manners, but with his love for food and toys, he’ll pick things up quickly.

If you're looking for a smart, active, and affectionate dog who loves to play and will keep you on your toes, Skip could be the perfect addition to your family. He’s ready for a home where he can get the attention, training, and exercise he needs to become the best companion possible.
