BRUCE

Tri-Colour Heeler x Bulldog

Say G'day to your best mate Bruce! (D250105)

Bruce is a lovable goofball with a personality as bursting as his energy levels! Bruce is full of life and can't wait for someone to take a chance on him, where they will get to experience all his ridiculous antics and quirkiness. Bruce has been waiting a number of months now for his new home to come along and is hoping his wait isn't much longer.

Bruce is an affectionate boy and loves getting attention from any and all humans he can get. He's a little on the boisterous side at times which makes him better suited for a household with no young children. He also would do best in a home without cats or small animals, as his playful enthusiasm might be a bit much for them.

Bruce loves playing with other dogs, but he can get a bit rough and sometimes doesn't realise his own strength - his dog social skills need a little bit of touching up. Bruce may be best suited as the only dog in his new home while he brushes up on his manners; but if there's a home out there that has an existing, solid, medium to large sized dog with the patience of a saint - he'd love to say 'Hello'!

Bruce is very smart and already knows how to sit on command and has good recall. He can also be quite the cheeky boy at times, who will need further training to improve his manners and plenty of outlets for his energy.

Bruce loves food and is very gentle when taking treats from your hand. His favourite pastimes are chasing the ball, tug-of-war and bringing smiles to peoples faces with his ridiculous exuberance and joyful outlook on life. He’s not too bad on a leash but would benefit from additional training to improve his walking skills.

Because of his high energy, Bruce will need a large backyard or rural home where he has plenty of space to run, explore, and play to his heart's content.

If you're ready for a playful and spirited companion who’s as loving as he is energetic , Bruce could be the perfect fit for you! Please complete the online adoption questionnaire and include photos of your secure yard and fencing. Our shelter staff will be in touch if your application is successful to arrange a meet & greet!
