Shepparton Mooroopna Urban Landcare (SMULG)

The Shepparton Mooroopna Urban Landcare Group is a volunteer group who cares about our local native environment.

We aim to help rehabilitate some areas in our local bushland and wetlands and increase community awareness of our native spaces by tree planting, weeding, rubbish pick up, joining in activities such as walks and talks with RiverConnect or Parks Vic with schools and the community, involvement with National Tree Day and other projects.

We have lovely connections with other groups.

A lot of our work is in Reedy Swamp, bushland and wetland of the Australian Botanic Gardens Shepparton and The Boulevard Bushland Reserve.

We meet monthly in Shepparton on the second Tuesday night of the month at 7 pm to organise our activities which may fall on weekdays or weekends. Sometimes we have an activity at the start of the meeting and have it outdoors. We would be pleased to hear from anyone willing to volunteer.
