This page contains information about adult immunisations, including immunisation for new and prospective parents, seasonal flu and funded adult vaccines.
Seasonal Influenza Vaccine
Annual influenza vaccination is provided free through the National Immunisation Program to groups who are at an increased risk of influenza complications, including:
- People aged 65 years and over
- Pregnant women
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children who are aged over 6 months and under 5 years old.
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged 15 years and over
- Infants aged from 6 months to under 5 years
- Anyone aged 6 months and over with a chronic condition placing them at increased risk of complications from influenza

Vaccination for expecting mums
Pertussis vaccination* is free for all pregnant women from 20 weeks gestation at any of our immunisation sessions or from your local GP.
* Boostrix – diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis (whooping cough)
Who is eligible to receive the free vaccine?
- Pregnant women from 20 weeks gestation during every pregnancy.
